We power wash and clean first, then scrape, sand and prime, caulk the gaps and seal the joints. Only after that do siding, trim, fascia, porches and entries get their color. Proper prep is the foundation of a lasting paint job, and we never cut corners on it.
Most exteriors want repainting every 5-10 years. In Yakima's climate we usually say 7-8 years, and we will tell you honestly at the estimate whether yours is due.

Wood, deck, fence and log-home staining
This A-frame is one of our log-home re-stains, caught with the windows still masked and the boom lift on site. The same approach carries to decks, fences, pergolas and wood siding: strip what has failed, prep the surface, then stain so the grain reads warm.
