Carol Thompson's house

Four quotes on the house. Ramon's won.

“We had 4 quotes and consultations on the house and Ramon's attention to detail, explanation, pricing and professionalism sold us. He worked with us on color, and continued great communication until the job was done.”

“It's worth it to pay to paint the doors! Ours look brand new and one had pretty heavy sun and weather damage. Saved us from buying a new one.”

Paint, stain and timing

Anything else, ask Ramon at (509) 910-1408, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5.

Most home exteriors should be repainted every 5-10 years, depending on the climate, paint quality and surface. In Yakima's climate we typically recommend repainting every 7-8 years for the best protection.

Quality stain usually lasts 3-5 years on horizontal surfaces like decks and 5-7 years on vertical surfaces like fences and siding. Old stain can be stripped, prepped and refreshed.

No. We handle most furniture moving as part of the job: we move items away from the walls, cover everything with drop cloths and put it all back when the painting is done.

Significantly. Cabinet staining typically costs 60-80% less than full replacement, and a typical kitchen takes 5-10 days depending on the number of cabinets.

In many cases, yes. We strip the paint, sand the surface and apply stain. Whether it works depends on the wood and its condition, which we check during the estimate.

Light foot traffic is usually fine within 24 hours. Full use, including parking a vehicle, typically needs 72 hours of curing.
